Welcome to DHPD Peer Support! Denver Health has had a Peer Support team for several years. Traditionally it has been behind the scenes working with people to better cope with the situations we all deal with on a daily basis, and recently we have become more focused on our colleagues’ well-being.
Whether this has been in a formalized conversation with a member of the Peer support team or just venting to your partner in the front of the ambulance, we are all responsible to each other and every one of us can make a difference by taking the few minutes to check on the people with which we share this profession. We hope that over the next few months we can continue to work as a division to make the health and wellness of every employee a priority.
Recently Denver Health had a change in the EAP provider; 1.877.622.4327 or http://cignabehavioral.com. For those of you who have not had any experience with EAP here is a small list of a few of the many things they can help with free of cost and anonymous to Denver Health employees:
There is also a Live Chat option available to further investigate benefits with a member of the EAP team.
Do not ever hesitate to call EAP and take advantage of the program they have designed for us. Please feel free to contact a member of command with any EAP feedback
