Students certified as an EMT in the State of Colorado are permitted to perform limited intravenous therapy under medical direction following successful completion of the course. The class includes 32 hours of classroom training and an in-hospital clinical rotation with a minimum of 10 successful IV starts. In-hospital Clinical must be completed within 7 days of the last day of class.
You must have your COLORADO STATE EMT Basic Certificate prior to registering for class. NREMT certificate will not suffice. Please note that we are not authorized to certify CNAs/RNs/LPNs/PAs with our IV Approval Course. This course is for the certification of the EMT Basic only in IV Therapy.

Once all the requirements are complete you will be issued a Course Completion certificate and you will then be eligible to initiate IV Therapy based on your organization and medical director’s protocols.
32 hours of continuing education hours will be provided after successful completion of the course.
Tuition: $400.00, due at time of application, includes textbook and clinical time.
